Answers of all the possible queries regarding Equinox portable planetarium.

A Portable Planetarium is an inflatable dome and multimedia planetarium that allows vivid computer-generated images to be shown inside it. It is portable and can be set up in under thirty minutes so it really can be used in the classroom!
Studying the universe means that you are often faced with concepts that are difficult to understand. Equinox Planetarium captivates the imagination and makes concepts like lunar phases, the evolution of stars and extraterrestrial life easier to grasp.
100 students in the Giant Dome & about 50 students in the standard dome.
The show usually lasts for 35 to 40 minutes. Though depending upon the interest involvement shown by the students, Equinox does not stipulate any time frame, our motive is to answer and clarify every query of the students.
4 shows are good but if required a maximum of 6 shows can be done in a day, since each presentation interactive; it is usually not advisable to do more than 6 shows in a day to assure impeccable shows, in sync with our reputation.
The shows are designed grade level wise keeping in mind the understanding level of the audience. We have shows suitable from Kindergarten level to college going adults.
Quiet is essential during presentation. Physical education classes or other noisy activities should not take place nearby the planetarium. For the Standard-size dome a 10.5 foot ceiling height & the floor space should be 25 X 25 feet. For the Giant Dome a 14 foot ceiling height with floor area of 30 by 30 feet. The ceiling can be a foot lower but with no sharp objects (like sprinklers) coming in contact with the dome. If the lights cannot be turned off, there should be no incandescent bulbs (hot) that will come in contact with the dome. The Two 220 Volts Ac Outlets are required in or around the room, we have extension cords. Preferably an air-conditioned area in which the temperature can be lowered, however, this is not a requisite.
It takes about 40 minutes to set up the entire planetarium system. At the end of the day, if the planetarium can be left in place on the floor, then only about 5 minutes is needed for the dome to deflate. In case the entire setup is to be removed from the hall/room, then 1 hour to pack and stow everything back in the duffel bags and cases.
Yes, because of its unique design, the Planetarium can accommodate visitors who are restricted to wheelchairs, have walkers or are otherwise physically challenged.
A powerful fan inflates and circulates air throughout the dome. Air is exchanged every five minutes through a carefully designed ventilation system which maintains a comfortable temperature. The planetarium has no climate control of its own, so whatever the room temperature… will be the temperature inside the dome. In very hot climates, it is best to set up the planetarium in an air-conditioned room.
Tempting it may seem, but the Planetarium can NEVER be setup outdoors. When inflated the planetarium is very buoyant and the slightest wind would cause it to shift position, plus direct sunlight will harm the fabric and cause it to deteriorate very fast.
